With warm sunshine, and spring upon us Ski Telemark’s Wrap-Up Party @ Devil’s Glen Country Club for Sat. Mar. 24th has been cancelled, the club is officially closed. We thank you all for your participation and support this season! We also apologize for the late notice of TSO’s Championship event being cancelled at Alpine Ski Club due to safety concerns. For those whom came for the alternate program & an Irish jig, special thanks!!! Free-heel madness!!!!! The winners are…..Results here. We, at Ski Telemark thank all of you, TSO and our sponsors for a superb 2010 season!!! To cap our season off, we raced at Mont-Blanc with Telemark Quebec and had a visit from our dear friend Ingun, past Vice President of the Norwegian Ski Federation following the Para-Olympics. 2011 will bring the World Telemark Championships to Norway, we are preparing a special tour package, so keep March 2011 open!!! Thanks to all who came out to Ski Telemark’s final weekend. We did have sun for the training day and the rain held out during the race. Despite the weather, Holly still had to corral the telemarkers to start the awards. Full results are now available and photos have been posted!

SPIRIT OF FREE-HEEL

Training Camp and Telemark GS Race brought the spirit of free-heel to Caledon Ski Club! Favourable mild weather and excellent snow created ideal conditions for Training Camp coached by Stephane Perreault, Quebec’s Provincial Team Coach and CANSI Level III Course Conductor. Telemark skiers showcased their talents and creative style on Avalanche’s challenging mogul field with a jump mid-station to WOW Beaver Valley’s judges and spectators!!! Our performances drew a resounding applause! We, telemarkers, have been invited to return and participate in MOGUL MANIA’s 30th Anniversary next March 2009!

50 Telemarkers brave the snow at TELEFEST 2008!

Despite being hit by the storm of the century, Ski Telemark’s TELEFEST 2008 became Powderfest 2008 at Osler Bluff Ski Club!!! Attended by 50 enthusiastic telemark skiers, great fun was had by all! Osler Bluff’s rustic mountain chalet served a hearty lunch followed by a supercharged afternoon of crazed telemarkers dancin’ in powder with snow accumulation of 8 cm. per hour!
